Treatment Planning

What a treatment plan is
The list of what is needed, in order, with the price.
A treatment plan is the document handed over after the examination: what needs treating, in what order, in how many appointments, and for how much. It is written, free, and given before any commitment.
Its main value is not the list but the order. Fitting a crown on a tooth whose gum is inflamed, or veneers on teeth that will move afterwards, means doing the work twice.

Why urgency comes before appearance
Infection, then gums, then function, then appearance.
The order is nearly always the same. What is progressing gets treated first — an infection, active decay. Then the gums are settled, because no restoration lasts on an inflamed foundation. Function comes next: missing teeth, the bite. Appearance comes last, on a stable base.
That is often the reverse of the order in which a patient states their request, and it is a conversation worth having at the consultation rather than mid-treatment.

A plan that fits into one stay
For a patient travelling in, the order changes.
When the patient lives abroad, the plan has to account for a constraint a local plan ignores: the number of trips. Some stages have an unavoidable biological delay — three to four months between an implant and its crown — and others do not.
The plan is then built around what can be grouped. That is why writing before booking a ticket changes the plan, and writing on arrival no longer does.
Treatment Planning — Frequently Asked Questions
- Is the quote charged for?
- No. The examination results in a written quote given free of charge before any commitment, and it is that quote that binds — not the indicative prices published on the site.
- Can treatment be spread out?
- Often, yes, provided the order is respected. What can wait is marked as such in the plan; what is progressing cannot, and the plan says that too.
- Can I get a plan remotely?
- An order of magnitude, yes, from photographs and old radiographs. A costed plan, no: that requires an examination, and a figure given without one would be revised later.
