Why come to Batna for treatment

Most patients who write from France, Italy or Spain are not travelling to Algeria for treatment: they are coming home to see family, and the treatment is arranged around that trip. That is the right way to look at it. Dental work is not a reason to make the journey; a journey already planned is the opportunity to deal with what has been waiting for two years.

In practice this changes the logistics rather than the treatment. You already have somewhere to stay, you speak the practitioner’s language, and family can come with you to an appointment. Those details, not the technique, are what separate a course of treatment that is finished from one abandoned at the second appointment.

How many days on site

It depends on the treatment, and the constraint is almost never the chair: it is the laboratory.

For a crown or veneers, count on about a week. The tooth is prepared and the impression taken at the first appointment, the final piece fitted a few days later, with a temporary worn in between. For placing an implant the appointment itself is short — it is the wait that is long, and it happens at home, not in Batna. For a scale and polish, a filling or root canal treatment, a single appointment is usually enough.

If your stay is short and you write before you travel, appointments can be grouped. That is the only thing that needs planning ahead.

How many trips

One, for almost everything: crowns, veneers, whitening, fillings, extractions.

Two for an implant, three to four months apart. The implant is placed on the first trip, the crown fitted on the second, and the interval is the time the bone takes to fuse to the titanium. That delay is not negotiable and does not depend on the clinic.

For a patient who comes home in summer, that often means placement in August and the crown the following summer. If the wait is too long, a shorter second trip during the year is enough.

What happens between visits

Nothing demanding, which is the point. Between trips there is no treatment to continue locally and nothing to pay in advance.

Follow-up is by WhatsApp, with the practitioner who treated you — not with a receptionist. A photograph answers most of the questions that come up while healing. If something needs examining you are told so; if it is nothing, you are told that too, which saves an unnecessary appointment.

Guarantees and follow-up

Implants and fixed prosthetics carry a five-year warranty. Check-ups are included in the price of treatment.

A written quote is given free of charge after examination, before any commitment, and it is the quote that binds. No deposit is taken in advance: payment is in cash, in dinars, at the clinic. None of this treatment is covered by CNAS.

If something goes wrong after you return

This is the question to ask before booking, and here is the answer.

You write on WhatsApp to the practitioner who treated you. Depending on what the photograph shows, the answer is either what to do or an appointment. If something urgent happens while you are in France, the clinic refers you to a colleague there: the aim is for somebody to examine you that day, not for you to wait for your next flight.

The limit is worth stating before you commit rather than after: work covered by the warranty is redone at the clinic, so in Batna, which means travelling. Remote follow-up handles worries and emergencies; it does not replace the chair.

Arrival, accommodation, transport

Batna has its own airport, Mostefa Ben Boulaïd, just outside the city. The other usual ways into the region are Constantine and Sétif, each about two hours away by road, and Algiers, about five hours or a domestic flight. Direct routes from Europe vary by season and by carrier: check current schedules rather than trusting an itinerary described on a web page.

The clinic is at Cité Bouzourene, coopérative El Yasmine, villa no. 15, next to the At-Taqwa mosque. Accommodation and getting around are arranged as for any stay in Batna: the clinic treats patients, it does not organise travel.

How to arrange a stay

Write before you travel, not on arrival. A WhatsApp message with your dates, what is troubling you and a photograph if it shows is enough to work out how many appointments you need and whether they fit into your stay.

The quote comes after examination — the only way to give a figure that will not be revised — but the order of magnitude can be given beforehand, and the prices charged are published on this site. Nothing is payable to book.

Is anything payable before coming?

No. There is no deposit. Payment is in cash, in dinars, at the clinic, against the written quote given after the examination.

Can everything be done in one stay?

Almost everything: crowns, veneers, whitening, fillings and extractions are done in one trip. The implant is the exception, because three to four months are needed between placement and the crown.

Is follow-up in French?

Yes. WhatsApp follow-up is with the practitioner who treated you, in French or in Arabic, whichever suits you.
